This table provides guidance on locating performance information for various parts of your enterprise.

System Health

Imprivata Appliance Console > System tab > Logs subtab

  • Select Metrics from the Imprivata server Logs drop-down list and click Display Logs for information on server performance issues. New information is written to metrics.log every hour and acts as a resource to understand how users are being affected by a server performance issue.

  • Select Syslog from the Appliance Logs drop-down list and click Display Logs for information on debugging and system status monitoring. For more information, see the Syslog Reference Guide.

Imprivata Admin Console > Gear icon > Settings tab > System Settings subtab

  • Enable the "Post heart beat info and system status to syslog" option in order to receive periodic updates on your system status. You can also enable this action to post heart beat info to any given URL of your choosing. See the Syslog Reference Guide for more information.

Imprivata Admin Console > Gear icon > Notifications

  • Options for setting or removing standard system notifications like "Authentication Failure (ProveID Client)". See Configuring Event Notifications for more information.

Troubleshooting with Logs

  • Provides instruction for generating and reviewing log files to troubleshoot issues.

  • General status represented by red, yellow, or green icon.

  • Test option with pop-up status window.

Imprivata Admin Console > Status box

  • Lists all the appliances at the current site and their database replication status. For G4 service appliances:

    • An icon of a gray circle with a white interior indicates that a G4 service appliance does not have a database, and therefore database replication status is not applicable to that appliance.

    • An icon of a green circle containing a white check mark indicates that database replication is occurring normally for a G4 database appliance.
