Erase - Return to Service

IMPORTANT:

The Workflow actions available to you depend on the Workflow model you select, the MDM system you use, and the OS of your devices.

This action securely erases the iOS device, reconnects it to Wi-Fi, and automatically enrolls it into the MDM, preparing it for reuse without manual configuration.

Supported

The Erase - Return to Service action is supported on:

  • iOS devices running a supported iOS release.

  • OTA Workflow model only.

  • Workspace ONE only.

Not Supported

  • The Erase - Return to Service action should not be combined with the Perform MDM Command action.

Configure the Erase - Return to Service Action

  1. In the MAM console, go to Workflows, and add or edit an OTA Workflow.

  2. Click Add an action, and select Erase - Return to Service.

  3. Select Workspace ONE from the MDM list.

  4. Select an existing Wi-Fi profile from the list, or click Create a new WiFi profile and create it.

  5. Click Save.
