Imprivata Patient Access 2025.7 contains the following new features and technology updates.
New Features
Photo Import for Fast Enrollment
Upload photos from Epic to create enrollments in Patient Access. The patient can be authenticated at their next visit without a registrar enrolling them, decreasing time to value.
Patient Access Usage Reports
Reports that pertain to usage to help Patient Access admins and managers understand usage across their organization and in the specific areas they supervise.
Facility and Location Mapping
Patient Access includes the ability for Admins to map machines and users to Epic location designations (Service area, Location, Department) which supports location-based usage reporting.
Integration with the Imprivata Access Management Portal
Patient Access is a supported application of the Imprivata Access Management (AM) Portal, so that users only need to log into one Imprivata portal to be granted access to all of the Imprivata solutions they own.
Roles and Permissions
Patient Access offers the concept of roles with different permissions to ensure that certain information is only available to members of a particular role to help protect patient privacy.
Features from Previous Releases

Update Enrollment Photo
When a patient whose face or appearance has changed significantly takes a photo to authenticate, this feature allows the registrar to decide to use that authentication photo as a new enrollment photo (if the quality is high enough) to help improve accuracy and ensure patient photos remain up to date. This feature eases the workload on registrars, helps to increase accuracy, and speeds up the check-in process.
Enroll to Verify
In the identify workflow, a registrar should attempt to identify a patient before enrolling them. When the registrar attempts to enroll a patient, who is already enrolled, Patient Access automatically switches to the verify workflow so that they can be sure they selected the correct record. The interface also advises the registrar of the proper workflow, so that they can follow the correct process with the next patient.

Support for Epic Welcome Kiosks
Epic Welcome kiosk support allows patients to identify themselves with Imprivata Patient Access for more secure self-service check-in.
Includes language support for Spanish.
The Patient Access client installation program has been updated to allow installation on kiosk endpoints.
Epic is a registered trademark of Epic Systems Corporation.

Data Retention Controls
New settings allow customers to automatically purge patient data based upon a defined period of inactivity.

Enhanced Instructions for a Mismatch on Verify
Enhanced the instructions for the registrar on what actions to take when a mismatch is found when verifying a patient.
Check for Duplicate Faces
When enrolling a patient, Patient Access checks the entire database to see if any potential similar faces exist to prevent duplicate records and helps ensure patients only have one record associated with them.
